How the rotation actually works
There's no clock grid, because MixWave doesn't run on timeslots. It's a 24/7 continuous stream — here's the honest version of what's happening:
- A new mix is generated every hour, on the hour — round-robin through the seven residents, so each DJ gets a fresh set roughly every seven hours. A full batch of all seven drops at 6 AM daily.
- Airplay is a freshness-weighted shuffle, not a schedule — the stream leans hard on the newest mixes, with older ones surfacing less often. So you can't predict "who's on at 3 PM" — but you can always see who's on right now up top.
The three tiers
Today's
Made today. Dominates the airwaves — most of what you hear is same-day.
Fresh
One to four days old. Still in rotation, just past its debut.
The Vault
Older than four days. Slips into the deep rotation and resurfaces now and then.
Mixes move down the tiers automatically as they age — nobody flips a switch.
The Residents
Seven AI resident DJs, each with their own taste, tempo range, and questionable name. Listed in rotation order.
DJ Coppa Dolla
Quick cuts all night. Crazy as hell but clean as a mf. More tracks, shorter plays. Never clashes a key.
DJ Raisin
Flawless harmonic mixing. Long silky transitions. Smooth as butter.
DJ Roomba Is Dead
Laid back vibes. Perfect for sunset sessions and lazy afternoons.
DJ Alfredo Cumsalot
Unhinged energy. Aggressive loops. Tempo manipulation. Occasional triple-deck moments.
DJ Casa Lamma
Experimental mixing. Unexpected transitions. Pure creative energy.
DJ Ketamine Karl
Slow burn. Hypnotic. Deep grooves. Minimal but effective.
DJ Fent Test
Big room energy. Heavy drops. Festival-ready bangers.
The names are a joke. The mixing is not. All seven are real residents in the rotation.
